Safety

Safety

Student safety is of paramount importance to all of AAHE’s operations. These measures help to keep you safe on campus:

  • Lift access is only available during campus operating and lecturing hours.
  • The facility is constantly monitored by CCTV cameras.
  • All staff and students must carry their ID cards whenever they are on campus.
  • In the event of an incident, staff and student are required to report it to the Registrar (email crisis@aahe.edu.au) within 7 days so that the Critical Incident Team can investigate.
  •

Each AAHE student and staff member is expected to contribute to the maintenance of a safe, inclusive and harmonious learning environment at AAHE. AAHE does not tolerate inappropriate conduct (including discrimination, sexual harassment or bullying) and will take action where it is reported to have occurred.

If you ever feel unsafe on campus or are worried about someone else’s safety, tell a staff member.

In an emergency, dial Triple Zero (000) for police, ambulance or fire services. (This is a free call.)

The following services are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week:

Lifeline call 131 114

Beyond Blue call 1300 224 636
