CYB310 – Work Placement
This is a 12-credit point unit taken during the final trimester of enrolment in the course. It is a work placement opportunity that provides students with real-world work experience in a professional environment with a host organisation. Students have the opportunity to undergo a defined program of work that is agreed between the Academy and the host organisation, and which achieves the desired learning outcomes of the unit. Students apply the knowledge and skills attained throughout the course to hands-on professional activities that develop creative solutions to real-world problems. Students will be assigned an academic supervisor through AAHE and a workplace supervisor who is an experienced staff member of the host organisation. Together they will guide and assess student learning and their application of theoretical knowledge, technical skills and professional conduct in an industry-based environment.
