CYB308 – Cybersecurity Capstone Project
The capstone unit provides students with an authentic learning experience where they can apply the knowledge, skills and abilities that they have developed across the Cybersecurity course of study. Students will undertake a practice-oriented investigation of a substantive project assigned to them under the supervision of an academic supervisor. Projects will be defined before the start of the trimester by the academic supervisor and will be offered for selection by the students during Week 1 of the trimester. The project will typically involve establishing formal requirements, engaging in a range of practice-oriented activities to meet the requirements, and delivery of a substantive outcome that may take a variety of forms (e.g. report, software, policy, risk assessment, strategy document, training protocol). Students will be provided with unit resources comprising content on project management, requirements engineering, report writing, issues tracking and software code versioning.
